Visitor Information

I

This area of Sydney is the "recreational" locality of the city.

You will find that the many museums and galleries are located within close proximity here. While at the same time for the sporty minded you may like to enjoy a jog or a gently stroll through the domain, past the Art Gallery and then around Lady Macquarie's Chair.

A new leisure centre with a swimming pool is also available within this area.

During the week at lunchtimes there are various team sports played on the domain grounds such as touch footie in the summer, netball and soccer in the winter.  In the summer time a number of concerts are held in the Domain such as Jazz, classical and Opera which are enjoyed by everyone. Take a picnic hamper and  blanket and sit back to enjoy.

When night falls, there are a good variety of restaurants in Oxford Street to eat at and there are a variety of night clubs to party at around both Darlinghurst and Kings Cross.
