Somersby Falls is located off Somersby
Falls Rd in the Brisbane Water National Park. To physically see the falls you have to
step down stairs to a viewing area.
The area is set in a rainforest and the moisture can be felt in the
air when visiting. Above the falls is a picnic area with BBQ's, tables and grass to relax on and enjoy.
When we visited we were fortunate enough to view Kookaburra's come down
from their trees while enjoying our sausage sandwiches cooked freshly on
the barbie. The car park is close to the picnic area and the falls are a
short walk, unless you decide to walk all the way to the bottom of them. |
