Dixon Park Beach has a windy aspect. its windy aspect allows for wind driven activities such as hangliding for the adventurous or kite flying for those who like to keep their feet back on the ground. There are good vantage spots to park and watch the graceful movements of the hangliders against the back drop of the ocean and sky without needing to walk away from the car.
