Tasmania

Tasmania is Australia’s island state, located south of Victoria. The stretch of water separating it from mainland Australia is Bass Strait.
To travel to Tasmania from the mainland there is the option of travelling by car and having a boat take you and the car across Bass Strait, or leave the car at home and fly over into Tasmania and pick up a hire vehicle to drive around in and see this beautiful state.
Visitors have the choice of starting their journey from either Hobart (the capital city) in the south or Launceston in the central north. It just depends on where you land first by plane. If driving and being transported across the Strait, you would start your Tasmanian discovery in Davenport.
The Tamar River Valley Boasts a fertile plain with agriculture and some great wines produced in the region.
The north west is a heavy industrial region with sprinkles of green sloping hills with happy fat moo cows chewing their grass as you drive by.
Central west through to South west of Tasmania is a world heritage park, that includes Cradle Mountain which is a great venue for hiking, camping or fishing.
In the South you will find the Capital and a hive of cultural activity happening here. Swinging around up along the East coast, there are many beautiful marine national parks and fishing towns sprinkled through.
Through the centre of Tasmania there is a lot of heritage and historical building restored and nestled through the backdrop of the dry hinterland.
